Dzhokar Tsarnaev Sentenced to Death by Injection

Dzhokar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber has been sentenced to death. According to Judge George O'Toole he is to die by injection. Dzhokar and his brother Tamerlan, who was killed in a gunfight with police days after the attack at the finish line of the iconic race killed three people, maimed dozens and injured hundreds in April 2013.The jurors weighed 12 aggravating factors against 21 mitigating factors in determining Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's sentence. They were charged to consider the suffering Tsarnaev caused, his intent, his character and even whether or not he was remorseful.

The jurors rejected defense efforts to depict Tamerlan as the mastermind of the attack, while the younger man was only following a charismatic, domineering sibling. Tsarnaev was convicted on all 30 counts and sentenced to death on six of them. The jury found him responsible for killing four people, seriously maiming 17 and injuring hundreds more.

He apologised in court and begged Allah to forgive him and his brother for the suffering he has caused, the lives he has taken and the damage he has done.

Though death penalty has since been outlawed in Massachusetts in 1984, and no one has been executed in the state since 1947 Tsarnaev was tried in federal court, where the death penalty remained an option.

200 Year old Church Destroyed

The All Saint Church in Fleet, Hampshire has been destroyed by fire. The Church notable due to its architect, William Burges and constructed in 1861-2 has served as venue for weddings and other church activities for more than 100 years. Though the main structure and brick work of the church is intact, the roof has been completely destroyed by fire. This has thrown wedding plans of many couples due to tie the knot in the coming weeks into disarray. There were however no life lost in the incident.

A 17-year-old boy from Fleet has been arrested and detained in connection with the incident and the fire has been contained by fire crews.

10 People Shot in Detroit at Child Birthday Party

There was a deadly shooting at a child's birthday party in Detroit.

According to Detroit Police Assistant Chief Steve Dolunt, shots were fired around 8:30 p.m. at the basketball courts at Dexter and Webb, where a large crowd of about 400 people were gathered for a birthday party. A 20-year-old man was killed and a 46-year-old man was critically wounded. Eight other people, including three women and five men, were also shot and some were taken to the hospital. However, no children were shot.
Investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Kidnappers arrested in Ogun state

The Ogun state police command have uncovered a kidnappers den at Odubotu compound, located in Okesopen area of Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun state. The culprits include: Mukaila Dauda, Ahmed Adebanjo, Tunde Akilo, Sunkanmi Dacosta and Lateef Agboola.

The victim identified as Iyaagbo was trailed from her residence in Odogbolu in Ogun State to Itoikin by the kidnappers who pretended to be herb buyers.
When the hoodlums declared their intentions as customers, the woman asked them to leave pretending not to have what they demanded. It was at this point that the kidnappers bundled her into their waiting vehicle and drove away with gunshots fired to scare away intruders. They met their waterloo when they were stopped and searched at police checkpoint.
The culprits will soon be arraigned in court.

Belgian Malinois dogs numbering about five were required to shoot a canine adventure movie Max. But only a three year old dog named Carlos had the chops to take the lead role.

According to the movie director Boaz Yakin, finding a star pooch to headline the film was very crucial. Without the right dog at the centre, the whole movie would have fallen apart, says Yakin. Fortuitously, Carlos had pure star quality.

June 19 was a day to remember as 1,500 people gathered in New York City's Times Square to witness the destruction of 1 ton of confiscated ivory — a move intended to demonstrate to the world that objects made from poached ivory have no value.

Some wore it, some carried it, but the message was clear:  "Take a stand." Tables overflowed with carved tusks, delicate sculpted butterflies, and intricate Buddhist figures, offering people one last glimpse of what was soon to be pulverized. Supporters stood behind the ivory pieces, some waiting for more than two hours to watch the ivory be destroyed.
The crushing machine, which resembled a trash-collecting truck with a conveyor belt on one end and a nozzle at the other silently waited to do its job. Items were eventually loaded one-by-one onto the belt, and the trinkets were pulverized, with tiny
dime-size pieces and powdered ivory spilling into an enormous
collection bin.
According to Sally Jewell, the ivory crush will send a very clear message to the world that the ivory is not only crushed but the bloody ivory market is destroyed. From 2011 to 2014, the number of African elephants poached for their ivory tusks reached its highest level ever recorded, Jewell said. "In just a three-year span, an estimated 100,000 elephants were killed for their ivory. That's an average of 34,000 elephants per year killed in Africa,” she added.

Although the United States is one of the top recipients of smuggled ivory (second behind China), the country is also critical to stopping it, said Dan Ashe, director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. "We're here because the United States is intimately connected to this slaughter," Ashe said at the event.
It is high time for people to desist from trade on endangered species to avoid their extinction. The greed must stop!

Ashley Miller Exposed

An eighteen year old Ashley Miller admitted to taking selfies as she had sex with her pit bull inside her grandmother’s house.

She was charged with two counts of sexual activities involving animals after Bradenton investigators found the graphic photos stashed on her cell phone. She forced her dog named 2-face, into licking her vagina between 30 and 40 times over the past five years. Miller admitted to making her previous dog, a pit bull Rottweiler mix named Scarface, perform oral sex on her, too. Miller told cops that 2-face lives at her grandmother’s house in Bradenton. Each time she wanted to have sex with the dog, she would lock herself in a bedroom, take off her pants and call 2-face over. The pup would “put her snout into her vagina on her own” without Miller forcing her into the act, the teen claimed. Miller said that’s where the sex ended: she never touched 2-face sexually, she said. One of her family members was always inside the house, Miller said, but they were unaware of what was happening in the bedroom. During at least two of the oral sex sessions, Miller snapped photos of the pup licking her vagina. Cops discovered the puppy porn in two hidden folders on Miller’s phone, one titled “2-face fun” and another titled “Me.” While the sex had been going on for at least five years, less than 10 of the acts happened after Miller turned 18 in February, she said.

2-face showed no signs of injury when a vet checked her out. Miller will be arraigned next month.
